• our hosted translation service — the dashboard at app.conveythis.com, the translation widget served from cdn.conveythis.com, and our platform plugins for WordPress, Shopify and Joomla; and
• the open-source software we publish, which is governed by the dedicated section Open-Source and Downloadable Software below. That software runs on your own machine and sends us nothing.

Where this Policy says “Service”, it means the website and the hosted translation service — the products you use through an account with us. It does ない mean the open-source software, which requires no account and is covered separately.

Information Practices

You provide information to us when you register with us, interact with or use ConveyThis applications and services. We explain what kind of information is collected, how it is used to your own benefit, and the choices that you have with your information in the following three sections:

Information Collected by ConveyThis

Registration with us is optional. Please keep in mind that you may not be able to use some of our features, including our translation statistics tracking functionality, unless you register with us. You provide us with information depending on how you interact with ConveyThis, which may include: (a) your name, email address, age, user name, password and other registration information; (b) your interaction with ConveyThis features and advertisements; (c) transaction-related information, such as when you make purchases, respond to any offers, or download software from us; and (d) any information you provide us should you contact us for help.

We also collect technical data, which may include your IP address and what browser you are using, so that we can improve ConveyThis services to you. An IP address can be personal data, and we treat it as such. We will not disclose any personally-identifiable information such as, name, age, or email address to a third party, including advertisers.

Resumes are requested for job applicants and are used to evaluate the candidate. Resumes are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with any entity unrelated to ConveyThis.

Open-Source and Downloadable Software

Some ConveyThis tools are published as open-source software that you download and run yourself — for example the claude-translator command-line tool and the Claude Code plugin distributed as conveythis-translator, along with anything else we publish from our GitHub organization. This section governs those tools. The rest of this Policy does not.

• No account, no registration, no licence key. The software runs entirely on your own computer or build server. You do not create an account with us to use it, and it does not contact us to check whether it is permitted to run.
• No telemetry. The software sends us nothing. It contains no analytics, no usage reporting and no error reporting back to ConveyThis. We do not know that you have installed it, that you have run it, or what you translated.
• We never receive your API keys, your page content, or your translations. When the software translates, it sends that text to the model provider you configure, using あなたの credentials, directly from your machine. That exchange is between you and that provider — Anthropic, Google or OpenAI, for example — and is governed by their privacy policy, not this one. If you point the software at a model running on your own hardware, nothing leaves your machine at all.
• The attribution tag is inert. Pages the software generates carry a “generator” meta tag and an HTML comment naming ConveyThis. Both are static markup: they make no network request, load no script, and set no cookie, and they report nothing to us when a visitor views your page. You can switch them off in the software’s configuration.

Separately, if you interact with the project on GitHub — opening an issue or pull request, or contributing commits — or install it from npm, those platforms process your information under their own privacy policies, and we see only what they make visible to us as the project’s maintainers. If you email us about a commercial licence, we handle that message as ordinary correspondence, as described elsewhere in this Policy.

Use of Information

We will use your name to personalize your experience. We will use your email address to contact you from time to time and for security reasons (to confirm that you are who you say you are). You can control the types of certain emails you receive, although you agree that we may always contact you to provide you with important information or required notices about ConveyThis.

We may use your information (a) to deliver the ConveyThis features and services desired by you, (b) to improve our services to you, (c) to personalize offers and content that may be of interest to you, (d) to respond to your inquiries, and (e) to fulfill your request for services or products.

We may use technical information, like your IP address, to analyze statistically site usage and to customize our site’s content, layout and services. This information will allow us to better understand and serve our users and improve our services.

We do not show third-party advertisements on ConveyThis. We advertise ConveyThis on other services — Google, Microsoft Advertising and OpenAI — and, where you have allowed advertising cookies, we use their measurement tags to learn which advertisements lead to visits, sign-ups and purchases. Those tags can receive your IP address, your browser type, the address of the page you are on and an identifier of the advertisement you clicked. The use of that data by the advertising services is subject to their own privacy policies.
