Politique relative aux cookies
Last updated: 2 October 2026.
This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies ConveyThis uses on www.conveythis.com and in the dashboard at app.conveythis.com, what each one is for, and how you control them. “Cookies” here also covers browser storage that works the same way (local storage, session storage and IndexedDB).
1. Your choice
We sort cookies into three groups.
- Nécessaire cookies make the site and the dashboard work. They are always on.
- Analyses cookies tell us which pages are visited and how the site is used.
- Publicité cookies tell us which of our advertisements bring people to ConveyThis and lead to sign-ups.
Analytics and advertising cookies are optional.
- In the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland we use them only if you agree. Until you choose, they are off. Our legal basis for them is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
- Everywhere else they are on unless you switch them off.
You can accept all, reject all, or choose group by group. To change your choice later, use Paramètres des cookies at the bottom of any page or the button above. Changing your mind is as easy as making the choice, and rejecting has no effect on your use of the site.
We decide which rule applies from your device’s time zone and from the country your internet address belongs to. If we cannot tell, we treat you as being in Europe.
Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of advertising cookies. They stay off unless you switch them on yourself in Cookie settings.
2. Necessary
| Nom | Où | Ce qu'il fait | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
ct_consent | Website and dashboard | Remembers your cookie choice | 180 days |
theme (local storage) | Site Internet | Remembers light or dark mode, if you switch it | Until you clear it |
ConveyThis database (IndexedDB) | Website and dashboard | The language switcher: remembers the language you picked and keeps a copy of translated text so pages load faster | Until you clear it |
PHPSESSID | Tableau de bord | Keeps your session | 2 days |
ConveyThis | Tableau de bord | Keeps you signed in | Until you close the browser |
db_host | Tableau de bord | Keeps your requests on the same database server | Up to 10 minutes |
ct_locale | Tableau de bord | Remembers the language of the dashboard | 1 year |
We also use services that are needed to run and protect the site and that do not store advertising or analytics cookies on it: Google reCAPTCHA on our forms and sign-up pages (protection against abuse; Google may store its own cookie for this), Google Sign-In if you choose to sign in with Google, our payment providers (Paddle, Stripe, PayPal) when you pay, and our own error monitoring, which reports technical errors to a server we run and stores nothing in your browser.
3. Analytics
Used only with your consent in Europe; elsewhere unless you switch them off.
| Nom | Provider | Ce qu'il fait | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Tells one visitor from another, without a name | 2 years |
_ga_K3QJKED1W9 | Google Analytics | Keeps the state of your visit | 2 years |
4. Advertising
Used only with your consent in Europe; elsewhere unless you switch them off.
| Nom | Provider | Ce qu'il fait | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
ct_attr | ConveyThis | Records how you first reached us: the campaign or advertisement, the site that linked to you, the first page you opened and, if you came from an advertisement, that advertisement’s click identifier. Shared between www.conveythis.com and app.conveythis.com | 90 days |
ct_gclid | ConveyThis (dashboard) | The Google Ads click identifier, so a sign-up can be reported against the advertisement | 90 days |
ct_oppref | ConveyThis (dashboard) | The OpenAI Ads click reference, for the same purpose | 30 jours |
_gcl_au, _gcl_aw, _gcl_ls (local storage) | Annonces Google | Measures which Google advertisements lead to visits and sign-ups | 90 days |
_uetsid | Microsoft Advertising | Identifies your visit | 1 day |
_uetvid | Microsoft Advertising | Tells one visitor from another across visits | 13 months |
__obref, __oppref and session storage | OpenAI Ads | Measures which OpenAI advertisements lead to visits and sign-ups | Set by OpenAI |
With advertising allowed we also run a click-fraud check supplied by Didva, which helps us recognise invalid clicks on our advertisements.
A click identifier identifies a click on an advertisement, not a person by name. When someone who clicked an advertisement signs up or buys a plan, we report that back to the advertising service against the click identifier, together with the account’s email address in hashed, non-human-readable form. We do this only where advertising cookies are allowed.
If you allow analytics but not advertising, Google Analytics runs and the advertising tags above do not. Google’s tag may still send Google a signal that carries no cookie and no advertising identifier (Google calls this consent mode).
5. Videos
Some pages show a video played by YouTube. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player. Where advertising cookies are not allowed, the video does not load until you press Play video; YouTube may set cookies once it starts.
6. Other ways to control cookies
Your browser lets you delete cookies and block them altogether. See the help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Safari on iPhone and iPad et Microsoft Edge. If you block necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in to the dashboard.
Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every site.
