Meet the New ConveyThis Dashboard

We redesigned app.conveythis.com from the sidebar up: your numbers at a glance, clearer actions for every site, a live preview of your language switcher and a dashboard that finally works on your phone.

The ConveyThis dashboard has a new look.

It’s where you manage your website translations, keep an eye on your multilingual traffic and customize your language switcher.

We rebuilt app.conveythis.com from the sidebar up. It’s already live on every account, so there is nothing to install, migrate or turn on. Sign in and you’re in the new version.

Same features, same translations, same settings. What changed is how quickly you can find them, and how much you can see before you click anything.

Why we redesigned it

The old dashboard grew one feature at a time. Each one made sense on its own, but together they had turned into a lot of buttons in a lot of places.

So we started again from the questions people bring to the dashboard every day:

  • How many words have I used?
  • Is my site getting translated traffic?
  • Where do I fix that one translation?
  • How does my language switcher look?

Every screen in the new dashboard is built to answer one of those in a single glance or a single click.

Your numbers, right where you land

The new ConveyThis dashboard: a sidebar on the left and four cards for words translated, monthly page views, languages and domains, each with a usage bar
The first screen after you sign in: four usage cards, each showing how much of your plan you use.

The first thing you see now is a row of cards: words translated, monthly page views, languages and domains. Each one shows how much of your plan you’re using, with a bar that fills as you go.

Below them, Translation activity charts the last 14 days: words translated per day and translated page views per day, with the change compared to the 14 days before.

Translation activity on the new dashboard: a bar chart of words translated per day and a line chart of translated page views per day over 14 days, above a list of your domains
Translation activity: 14 days of words and page views, compared with the 14 days before.

You no longer have to dig to find out whether translation is working for you. It's the first thing on the page.

One sidebar for everything

Navigation now lives in a single sidebar on the left: your dashboard, your sites, your plan and billing, your profile and support.

Need more room for a long translations table? Collapse the sidebar to a slim strip of icons. The dashboard remembers your choice next time.

Three clear doors for every website

The My Domains page with three website cards; the Translations menu is open, showing My Translations, CSV/TMX, CSV and TMX
Every website card, with its Translations menu open.

Each website card now has three menus, named for what you came to do:

TranslationsEdit your translations, then import or export them as CSV or TMX.
CustomizeYour glossary, plus the pages and blocks you don't want translated.
SettingsYour language switcher, your site's technology and your team.

Your languages appear as small chips right on the card, so you can see at a glance which languages each site speaks. Rarely used actions, like removing a domain, moved into the ⋮ menu where you won’t hit them by accident.

See your switcher on your own site

This is the change we’re most excited about.

When you adjust the language switcher in Settings, the preview now sits on top of a screenshot of your own homepage. Change the position, the colours or the direction the menu opens, and you see exactly how it will look to your visitors before you save.

No more saving, opening your site in another tab, refreshing and coming back.

Help without leaving the dashboard

The new Support page lets you search answers and browse by topic without leaving the app. If you do need to write to us, Copy diagnostics puts the technical details we usually ask for on your clipboard, so your first message already has everything we need.

Search answers, browse by topic, or copy your diagnostics for support.

Finally, a dashboard for your phone

The ConveyThis dashboard on a phone: usage cards stacked two by two and a tab bar at the bottom with Dashboard, Websites, Settings and More

On a phone, the dashboard now has a tab bar at the bottom: Dashboard, Websites, Settings and More. Tables stack into readable cards instead of scrolling sideways.

Checking your word count or your traffic from another language no longer needs a laptop.

Starting fresh? So does setup

New accounts go straight into a redrawn setup wizard with their website already filled in. Pick your languages, add ConveyThis to your site, and you’re done.

Want to try it? See how ConveyThis works, then translate your first 10,000 words free.

Prefer the classic view?

We know a familiar layout matters when you use a tool every day. If you need a little time, open the menu under your name and choose Switch to classic view. You can come back to the new design whenever you’re ready.

More room, too

The redesign isn’t the only big change this autumn.

On September 30 we doubled the translated-word limit on every plan, without changing prices. Free now includes 10,000 words and Starter 60,000. Existing customers got the new limits automatically, and you’ll see them in the new usage cards the moment you sign in.

A clearer dashboard. Twice the words. Same price.

Every plan and its new limit is on the pricing page.

And we’re not done

The redesign gives us a better foundation to build on, and we’re already building.

More updates are on the way in the coming weeks. Some you’ll see in the dashboard, and some your visitors will see on your site.

Stay tuned.
