Weebly translation: common questions

How do I add ConveyThis to a Weebly site?

Sign up for ConveyThis, pick Weebly in the setup wizard, enter your domain and languages, and keep the default URL structure unless you plan to use sub-domains. Copy the snippet from the last step. In Weebly click Edit site, choose Settings in the top bar, then SEO in the sidebar, paste the code into Header Code, click Save and then Publish. The Weebly setup guide has a screenshot of each step.

Weebly is closing in some countries. What happens to my translations?

Weebly is winding down its service in 67 countries: sites there were unpublished on 27 September 2026, and account access continues until 26 December 2026. Your ConveyThis account is separate from Weebly, so it stays open when you move. Add the snippet to the new site, and if you want to carry wording over, export translations as CSV or TMX (Pro+ and higher) and import them into the new project, which is free on every plan. Can each language of my Weebly site have its own address?

Yes, from the Business plan up, provided the site uses your own domain rather than the free address Weebly assigned. We recommend sub-domains: add one CNAME record per language and your main site stays on Weebly. Sub-directories such as example.com/de/ are an option as well, at the cost of sending all traffic for the domain through ConveyThis. The URL structure guide walks through the DNS records.

Are the SEO descriptions I entered in Weebly translated?

Yes. Weebly lets you write a site description under Settings → SEO and a description per page under the page's Advanced settings. Both end up in the page's meta tags, which ConveyThis translates together with the page title. With language sub-domains, hreflang tags then tell search engines which version to show in each country. What does a small Weebly business site usually need?

A few pages in one extra language often fit the Free plan's 5,000 words. Starter ($12 a month) raises that to 30,000 words in one language, and Business ($24 a month) gives 100,000 words, three languages and the sub-domain option. Prepaying for a year costs the same as ten monthly bills. Your count only moves when a person opens a translated page; search-engine bots are not billed. Compare every plan.
