What ConveyThis does on your Framer site

  • One snippet in custom code
  • AI translation of every page
  • New content translated automatically
  • Visual editor on your live site
  • Glossary on paid plans

How ConveyThis works on Framer

ConveyThis runs from one snippet in your Framer site's custom code settings. Once your site is published, its pages are translated with AI and machine translation. When you publish a new section or change a page, ConveyThis translates the new text once it is live.

Your Framer project stays as it is. ConveyThis does not edit it, and your translations are stored in your ConveyThis account. Setup takes a few minutes.

ConveyThis or Framer Localization?

When ConveyThis is the better fit

Framer sells Localization as an add-on at $20 a month per locale, on top of a paid Framer site plan. Its AI translations use AI credits from your Framer plan, and each content editor who updates localization costs $10 a month. ConveyThis is priced by plan, not by language. The Free plan covers 1 language, Business covers 3 languages for $24 a month and Pro covers 5 languages for $64 a month. On Pro and higher, your translators edit in the ConveyThis dashboard, so they don't need a seat in your Framer project. We checked Framer's pricing page on October 8, 2026.

When Framer Localization is the better fit

Choose Framer Localization if each language needs its own address in search results. Framer's Free plan also includes one locale to try. Framer can translate your page paths for each locale. It also adds hreflang tags for you. You edit translations right in the canvas, and Auto Translate handles new and updated content as you work. ConveyThis keeps every language of a Framer site at the same address, as the next section explains.

Language URLs and SEO on Framer

One address for every language

A Framer page keeps a single URL with ConveyThis. Visitors pick a language in the switcher and read the translation on that same URL, or you can add ?locale=fr to link to a language directly. Framer sites can't get language subdomains like fr.example.com or folders like example.com/fr/ through ConveyThis. Titles and meta descriptions are translated together with the body text. If Google results per language are your priority, Framer Localization serves that need better.

AI translation, then your edits

Each Framer page gets an AI and machine translation as its starting point. Read your hero, pricing and contact sections first, because those are the lines visitors act on. To fix a line, open the visual editor, click that text on your published Framer site and type the new wording. A fix carries over to other pages that already show the same sentence. From the Starter plan, glossary rules keep your brand name and product names as you want them. When a sentence must be exact, order a human translation for it from the text editor, charged per word. You can test all of this with one language on the Free plan.

Your team and your other websites

Translators and several sites in one account

Designers keep working in Framer, and translators work in ConveyThis. With Pro or a bigger plan, you add translators and managers to your account, and what they save is published right away. Pro includes 3 websites, which suits a studio that runs a Framer portfolio next to client sites on WordPress or Shopify.

Images, switcher and visitor language

Localized images and the right language on arrival

Framer layouts often place words inside images, mockups and screenshots. ConveyThis leaves that text as it is, so upload a localized version of the image, video or PDF for each language instead. Image alt text is translated automatically. From the Starter plan, first-time visitors can be sent to the language set in their browser. The language switcher can be moved, recolored and restyled with CSS so it fits your Framer design.

Common questions about Framer translation

Can an AI tool translate my Framer website automatically?
Yes. Once the ConveyThis snippet is on your site, AI translates every page into the languages you choose. You then review the result in the visual editor.
What does it cost to translate a Framer site?

ConveyThis is billed separately from your Framer site plan. A portfolio or a launch page can often start on the Free plan: 10,000 words in 1 language. Starter costs $12 a month for 60,000 words in 1 language, and Business costs $24 a month for 200,000 words in 3 languages. Each word is counted once, the first time it is translated. Plans also include a monthly number of translated page loads: 2,500 on Free, 15,000 on Starter and 50,000 on Business.

Compare all plans on the pricing page.

What happens when I reach my word limit?
Pages that are already translated keep showing in every language. New text stays in your original language until you upgrade.
Can I keep some text in the original language?
Yes, on paid plans. Exclude whole pages with a rule, or single elements by their class or ID. For single words such as brand names, use the glossary.
